The 6^th Grade Music Concert is tonight, December 7^th.  Just a reminder that dress rehearsals are as follows:  Choir – 4^th period, Orchestra – 5^th period, Band – 6^th period.

Don’t forget speakers!  There’s a kick-off for our forensics season tomorrow, December 8^th in the gold pod from 3:00-3:30 pm.  See Mrs. Nicholas for more information if you can’t make it to the meeting.

On Saturday, December 5^th, the MMS Science Olympiad teams participated in the 9^th annual Boyceville Invitational.  Our students completed against some of the best teams in the Midwest, which included state champion teams from Minnesota and Illinois.  The kids have been working hard the past few weeks preparing for the competition and it paid off!  The students earned 6^th place out of 37 middle school teams that took part in the competition.  Our Menomonie students placed in the top 10 in 21 different competitive events.

Congratulations to all who participated.  The students will now begin preparing for the University of Minnesota Invitational which will take place in January.
