Menomonie Middle School Announcements

FFA:  Are you interested in agriculture and careers in ag related fields?  Are you in 4-H or live on a farm? Then FFA is the club for you.  Join us for our first meeting this Thursday, Sept. 26th in Mrs. Forster’s room in the blue pod.  We will learn about all of the opportunities available and meet part of the high school officer team.  All FFA details will also be posted on the bulletin board outside of the 6th grade library entrance.  If you have questions or can’t make it but want to join, email or talk to Mrs. Forster.

Science Olympiad:  Interested in Science Olympiad?  Email Ms. Zuber for a sign up from or with any questions.

Music Donation Drive:  Congratulations to yesterday’s “silly string a music teacher” winners Hannah Hanson and Blake Allen-Ellendorf!

Today’s winners for the Music Department donation Drive will get a large pizza delivered for them and their friends at lunch today.

And the winners are Dane Kreutzer and Hailey Bien!

Congrats!  Come to the choir room during CARES to tell Mrs. Enyeart your pizza order.

FCA:  FCA will meet tomorrow at 6:50am in the gym.  At 7:20am, all are welcome to join us around the front flagpole to participate in See You at the Pole.  We will join together in prayer!  We hope to see you there!

Self-Care Club:  The self-care club will meet today during WIN in room 740 (LMC Conference Room).  It is not too late to sign up.  If you are interested, pick up a permission slip from your grade level counselor.

Boys Soccer:  Last night at Eau Claire South, the M1 boys soccer team came back from a 3-0 deficit in the second half to win 4-3.  The M2 team lost a tough game 6-3.  Great job by both teams last night.

Yearbook:  Are you creative, artistic or enjoy taking pictures?  Yearbook club would be a good fit for you!  The first yearbook meeting will be located in Mrs. Forster’s room in the 6th grade blue pod today.  We will meet after school at 3:05pm until 4pm.  You will need a ride home.  Talk to Mrs. Forster or Ms. Haselhuhn for more information if you are unable to make it.

Word of the Month:  Empathy

Quote of the Week:  When you show deep empathy toward others, their defensive energy goes down, and positive energy replaces it.  That’s when you can get more creative in solving problems. ~ Stephen Covey
