Menomonie Middle School Announcements 

8th Graders:  Sign in to your CARES teacher for WIN today and then head down to the cafeteria for speeches and voting for HS Student Council.  Please bring your chromebook.

Baseball:  All 8th graders interested in playing HS Baseball...there will be a meeting in Mr. Slowiak's room during lunch today.

Boys Tennis:  Last night both of our MMS boys tennis teams were victorious!  M1 beat South 5-4 and M2 beat Northstar 9-1.  We are so proud of the boys' hard work!

Menomonie Cheer & Sideline:  Tryouts are coming soon!  8th graders interested in Cheer & Sideline next school year are invited to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 28th with parents at 5pm in the MHS Lecture Hall.  Prep Clinics will on May 28th and May 30th from 6-8pm in the MHS Main Gym and Final Tryouts on May 31st at 5pmin the MHS Main Gym.  For more information, contact Coach Maddi at [email protected].

Yearbooks:  Yearbooks are here!  If you would still like to purchase one, there are a few still for sale.  It is first come first serve - no holds.  Please bring $29 to Ms. H in the 8th grade maroon pod to purchase one.

School Store:  The school store is still open.  We have veggie straws, suckers, fruit snacks, left over candy from the dance and lots of gum.  Stop on down after school.

Office Reminders:  With the end of the year quickly approaching, we'd like to send out a couple of reminders. 

If you are picking your student up early, please send a note with your student and have them bring it to the office upon arrival.  We will give them a pass to leave class and try to have them in the office 5 minutes prior to your arrival.  Notes are required from home.  Students will not be given a pass without parent contact with the office.  Last minute calls are discouraged as we have to interrupt class time.

Don't forget!  Class begins at 7:43am.  We have had a lot of late arrivers.  Students are counted as late if they arrive after 7:43am.  Please make sure your student is arriving to school on time.

Tennis Shoes:  Have you recently outgrown your last pair of tennis shoes or wanted to upgrade to the newest model? The PE department is looking for any gently worn tennis shoes your family isn't in need of anymore. If you have any that you are willing to donate please bring to the office at the middle school. Your pre-loved sneakers can do a world of good for those needing a pair. We appreciate your generosity!

Medication Pick Up:  Tuesday, June 4, 2024 will be the last day of school for students.  Please plan to visit the health office to pick up your child's medication on or before June 4, 2024.  For safety reasons, we cannot send medication home with students.

If your child is attending summer school, please deliver the medication to the health room staff on or before the first day of class. 

Title 1 Spring Meeting:  There will be a Title 1 Spring Meeting will be on Monday, May 20th at 3:15pm in MMS room 621.  All parents/guardians are invited to attend.
