No School!  Reminder that there is no school on Thursday or Friday this week.  Enjoy your long weekend!

 

Girls Tennis:  The MMS girls tennis teams were in action Monday afternoon against some talented south Middle School teams.  The M1 girls won 7-6 while the M2 team lost 1-11.  Congratulations to Lauren Ohman and Reagan Dunbar for their 6-2, 4-0 sweep!  Reminder that there is NO PRACTICE today.  The girls are back in action next Tuesday against Altoona.

 

CORE Leaders:  Meet in the cafeteria immediately after announcements for a plan update.

 

A La Carte:  There will be no a la carte at lunch time today.

 

Volleyball Tournament:  Student Council will be hosting a Volleyball Tournament on Thursday, October 27th, from 3:15pm – 5:00pm.  Registration forms are in the cafeteria.  Teams should be between 6-8 players.  Can be mixed grade and genders.  $2 per player.  Registration forms can be turned in to Ms. Yonash or Mr. Haas.

 

Matilda:  Hey Middle School students and staff!  Did you know that your amazing choral director, Mrs. Enyeart, along with several MMS students are starring in Menomonie Theater Guild’s, Matilda The Musical?!  Opening night, Friday, October 14th, is coming up soon, and we know these MMS stars would LOVE to have you in the audience!  There are two weekends of shows:  October 14th through the 16th and October 21st through the 23rd.  It’s a great show with a wonderful message about resiliency.  You’re likely to laugh and cry!  Tickets can be purchased online at Menomonietheaterguild.org.  We hope to see you there!

 

Multicultural Club:  We will have our first meeting Tuesday, October 18, right after school until 4:00pm in Mrs. Xelhuantzi’s room, 825.  We will make our plans for the year and talk about Butter Braids.  See you there!

 

National School Lunch Week:  This week is National School Lunch Week.  Our Food Service staff is having some fun with the theme Peace, love and School Lunch.  Stop by and check out their decorations and costumes and have an amazing school lunch today!

 

Science Olympiad:  We will start meeting on October 26, Science Olympiad is an after school activity where we explore, learn and compete in events related to science knowledge, building, engineering and labs.  Interested students should see or email Coach Zuber to get an electronic sign up form.

 

PE Students:  You will need your chromebook for class today to enter fitness scores in.  Please make sure you have them prior to class starting.
