Holiday Dress Up Week:  We will have a holiday dress up week beginning Thursday next week through Wednesday, December 22nd.  Please remember:  all school rules apply!

 

Thursday, Dec. 16:  Comfy – Pajama Day

Friday, Dec. 17:  Flannel Day

Monday, Dec. 20:  Twin Day – Dress up as someone else

Tuesday, Dec. 21:  Ugly Sweater Day

Wednesday, Dec. 22:  Santa’s Workshop Day – trees, elves, reindeer, presents, candy canes, etc.

 

Core Value Poster Contest:  Core value poster entries are due to the front office by next Wednesday, December 15th.  Every year we get so many awesome designs, and it would be great if that happened again this year.  Put your design on a regular 8 ½ X 11 piece of paper and turn it in to the office.  Be sure all 6 core values are featured in your creative design.

 

8th Grade Boys Basketball:   vs.  Delong Middle School

Team 1 beat DeLong Team 4 in a thrilling 50-45 win.  Leading scorers were Charlie Mikesell with 17 points and Kenny Bauer with 16 points.

Team 2 lost to DeLong Team 2 with a final score of 50 – 33.  Leading scorers were Max Erickson with 12 points and Renner Stoll with 10 points.

Team 3 beat DeLong Team 3 in an impressive 64 – 38 game.  Leading scorers were Max Branch with 19 and Taylor Mars with 13.

Team 1 lost to DeLong Team 4 in a hard fought battle.  Final score was 44 – 37.  Leading scorers were Kenny Bauer with 11 points, Oliver Schenck with 6 points, and Alvin Vue with 2 points.

 

7th Grade Boys Basketball:  Your 7th grade BBB teams completed another clean sweep last night against EC DeLong.  Nice job boys!

 

Reminders that the 7th and 8th Grade BBB practice is cancelled for today.

 

Also, 7th grade has a home game on Monday and 8th grade has an away game vs. EC South.

 

Yearbook:  7th & 8th grade students, if you missed out on a yearbook last year, we have 20 copies left for sale for $15 each.  Please bring exact cash or check to Mrs. Forster or Mrs. Krueger in the 6th grade.  The yearbooks will be given out on a first come first serve basis with payment.  You can stop by before CARES or right after school.

 

Battle of the Books:  If you are interested in participating in the Battle of the Books, you can sign up in the library.  Our first meeting is Monday, December 20th during your lunch, but come sign up and get a head start on reading.  Ask Ms. Kim in the library for more details.

Reminders:  We continue to emphasize hand washing, physical distancing and respiratory etiquette.  A friendly reminder to all students to continue to hand wash or use sanitizer in the lunch lines.  We have sanitizing stations located throughout the building in pods, entry ways, lunch lines and in classrooms.  Please stay home if you are sick or if you or a family member are waiting on a Covid-19 test result.
