Volleyball:  Congratulations to the girls volleyball teams on a successful finish to the season!

 

Boys Basketball:  7th & 8th grade boys’ basketball will begin on Monday, November 1st.  Practice will start right after school and end at 4:45pm.  Be dressed and ready to play basketball on Monday!

 

Cross Country:  Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country team who finished the season in style last night!  Kyah Barnhart completed her winning streak last night in a blazing 13:06.  Kaiden Gransee-Tatge claimed number 3 on the all-time records board with a personal best 12:13 for two miles to lead the boys.

Many personal bests were run last night.  Special congrats on the boys’ side to Logan Topper who claimed #5 on the 6th grade record board in 12:43 and Everett Paulson who claimed #11 in 13:14.

Three sixth grade girls made the record board last night!  Allison Xu at 14:06 claimed the 6th spot, followed by Nora Skorczewski in the 8th in 14:11 and Addison Schuler at 20th in 14:45.

Special congrats to 8th grader Tyler Nelson who broke the tie for the boys last night, running an amazing personal best of 13:15.

Don’t forget about the team party for Cross Country runners.  Meet in the cafeteria!

 

SAGA:  SAGA club will meet this Thursday in room 815.  All are welcome!

 

Halloween Costumes:  Halloween costumes will be allowed on Friday, October 29th.  All school rules still apply.

  • No blood
  • No weapons
  • No masks that cover your whole face
  • You can wear hats if it is a legitimate part of your costume

If any part of your costume is a distraction, your teacher can take it away as needed.

 

Chromebooks to PE:  Please bring your chromebook to class if you are in Ms. Heonisch’s PE class.

 

Science Olympiad:  Do you love science?  Experimenting?  Building and solving problems? The Science Olympiad is the place for you!  Please talk to Coach Zuber, Coach Topper or Coach Scott to find out more and fill out the Google Form for sign up.  Practice will begin the first week of November!

My Teacher Rocks!  Kristo Orthodontics wants to know who you think the beast teacher. We all know how hard our teachers work, especially in the times we are in right now.  Give your teacher the well deserved thank you by entering them in the “Teacher’s Dream Survival” Basket Giveaway.  The winning teacher will be given a shout out and win a Teacher’s Dream Survival Basket filled with items all teachers need and want!  Fill out an entry form and submit it to the front office by October 30th.  Forms are available in the front office.  The winning teacher will be announced November 5th!

Reminders:  We continue to emphasize hand washing, physical distancing and respiratory etiquette.  A friendly reminder to all students to continue to hand wash or use sanitizer in the lunch lines.  We have sanitizing stations located throughout the building in pods, entry ways, lunch lines and in classrooms.  Please stay home if you are sick or if you or a family member are waiting on a Covid-19 test result.
