Cross Country:  Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country team that competed last night at the EC Northstar Invitational.
The boys finished only a few points out of first...placing second.  They were led by a 5th place Aaron Howard, 10th by Luke Ray, 11th by Logan Topper, 12th by Everett Paulson and 13th by Max Spartz.  Special congrats to Bailian Viana for an amazing improvement form last year's time, finishing 29th.
The girls finished third, led by race winner Kyah Barnhart who won by a huge margin of 47 seconds over 2nd place.  Rounding out the scores were 6th graders Nora Skorczewski in 9th, Allison Xu in 10th, Addison Schuler in 29th and Grace Nevin in 30th.  
Results are posted on athletic.net...check out your time.  Reminder that cross country practice in optional tonight (Wednesday).

Homecoming:  Homecoming is Friday!  Make sure you make your after school plans in advance.  If you are riding the bus with a friend, your family will need to contact the bus company in advance to get permission and then bring a note into the office on Friday and we will give you a pass.  Phone calls and texts will not be accepted.  Don't wait until the last minute!  You will not be allowed to use the phone during class time to call home.

Picture Retakes:  Picture retakes will be tomorrow, September 30th.  If you did not get your picture taken on the first day of school or need retakes, this is your last chance!  These are the pictures that will be in our yearbook.  We will call students down by last name starting in CARES.  Don't be late!  Order forms are available in the front office.

Multi-Cultural Club:  
You can still join Multi-Cultural Club!  Our next meeting is on Thursday, September 30th.  We will get ready to “Run with the Bulls!”  for the Homecoming parade on Friday.  We will meet in Mrs. Lemanski’s room 412.  Our meeting will end at 3:45pm.  Please arrange a ride.

 

Homecoming:  This week is Homecoming!  The theme this year is “Find Your Rhythm.”  Dress up days are as follows:

Thursday – Throwback Day

Friday – Mustang Pride Day

Weight Room:  The weight room will be open Tuesday’s and Friday’s starting this week at 6:30 am.  Our MMS Physical Education teacher Mr. Bielmeier is excited to open it up!  It is open to anyone and is a great opportunity to improve your health and athletic ability!  Let’s get after it!

Reminders:  We continue to emphasize hand washing, physical distancing and respiratory etiquette.  A friendly reminder to all students to continue to hand wash or use sanitizer in the lunch lines.  We have sanitizing stations located throughout the building in pods, entry ways, lunch lines and in classrooms.  Please stay home if you are sick or if you or a family member are waiting on a Covid-19 test result.
