Spring Pictures:  Lifetouch will be here to take pictures of those who would like them on Tuesday, February 16^th.  We will begin right away in the morning, so don’t be late!  Order forms are available in the front office and must be returned at picture time.  You may also order online at mylifetouch.com using picture day ID:  EVT7GFPJP.

Book Fair:  Shop the Scholastic Book Fair February 11^th – February 24^th.  See your Language Arts teacher for the link to order.

Yearbook:  The final deadline to order a yearbook is February 19^th.  Yearbooks cost $25 and can be ordered online at jostens.com.  This is your last chance to order a yearbook for the year, so don’t miss out!

Parent/Teacher Conferences:  Reminder to parents/guardians that we have conferences this Thursday, Feb. 11^th and Tuesday, Feb. 16^th.   If you do not have a conference time yet, please send an email to your student’s CARES teacher to schedule a time.

Black History Month:  February is Black History Month, which is a time to commemorate and reflect on remarkable African American trailblazers who have left enduring legacies by igniting a desire for hone and change.  In honor of Black History Month, we are gathering some inspiring quotes and bio information from powerful Black leaders.

Highlight:  Robert Guillaume | Actor | 1927-2017
Robert was raised by his grandmother in the segregated south but moved to New York to escape racial injustice. There, he performed in theatre for 19 years, gaining momentum and a Tony nomination for his portrayal of Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls. In 1976, he landed his infamous role as Benson on Soap which won him an Emmy and his spin-off, Benson for which he won another Emmy. He returned to the stage in 1990, playing the role of the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera at the infamous Ahmanson Theatre. He voiced one of Disney's most beloved animated characters, Rafiki, and can still be heard as the narrator for the animated series, Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales For Every Child.
