Science Olympiad:  Menomonie Science Olympiad continued their season with an improved showing at the Medford meet this weekend.  4 of our teams placed in the top ten, with Menomonie Gold finishing 10th, Menomonie Copper finishing 8th, Menomonie White finishing 7th, and Menomonie Maroon finishing 2nd.

Together, our teams brought home 39 event wins!! First Place medals were earned by Kajsia Xiong and Grant Burns in Heredity, Ben Seguin and Aries Fox in Machines, Varun Sridhar in Meteorology, Journey Beston and Luke Ray in Orinthology, Grant Burns and Peter Cimino in Ping Pong Parachute, Grant Burns and Jesse Kissh in Road Scholar, and Damian Gray and Carver Neuendorf in Water Quality.

Reminder:  There will be no practice this week.  Practice resumes next week.

FFA Opportunities:  Sno-tubing at the Badlands Friday, January 17^th after school and the World’s Toughest Rodeo at the Xcel Energy Center Friday, January 27^th after school.  See Mrs. Forster in the blue pod for information and permission slips.

Forensics:  There will be a brief meeting in the cafeteria immediately following announcements this morning.
