MMS Daily Announcements - Tuesday, March 5, 2019
Published on Mar 5, 2019 08:48

Reminder to Parents:  Our new start time is 7:38am.  Students are expected to be in class and ready to learn at 7:38am.  Breakfast is served starting at 7:15 am.  Please make sure your children are arriving to school to make it to class on time.  Beginning today, we will be adding an additional 5 minutes on to the end of the day.  The dismissal time will be 3:05 pm.

We are still having many students come in late.  The morning drop off line can be very long and congested when everyone comes at 7:30am.  Dropping your students off a bit earlier will help with this.  To help you get through the line easier, drop off your student between 7:10 – 7:20.

2019-2020 Registration Forms:  6th & 7th graders – remember your registration forms are due by Thursday, March 7.  Please turn them in to your CARES teacher.  If you need a new form, stop in the front office and pick one up.

Girls’ Basketball:  Congratulations to all of the 7th grade girls’ basketball teams for their wins last night at Delong.  All 3 teams played great and should be proud of their efforts.

There was another clean sweep last night by your 8th grade girls’ BB teams.  The girls took 3 of 3 games against EC Delong last night.  Nice job, girls!

Geography Bee Champion!  Congratulations to 6th grader Kieren Bignell.  Kieran was our MMS Geography Bee champion this year and he is now a qualifier of the state geography bee in Madison where he will represent MMS.  Way to go, Kieran!

Hoops for Hearts:  Did you know that about 600,000 people die of heart disease in the US every year – that’s 1 in every 4 deaths.  Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women.  Please help to raise awareness by donating to the American Heart Association.  Hoops for Heart Basketball tourney will begin this Wednesday in PE class.

Spring League Volleyball:  Any 6th – 8th grade girls interested in Spring League Volleyball may pick up a form in the front office.  There will be an evaluation period on March 4th & 5th from 6-8 pm in the High School Gym.  For more information or questions email [email protected].
