PENNY WAR:  Empty out those piggy banks, check the couch cushions, and look under your vehicles’ seats.  We want your change.  Hurricane Florence damaged the Carolina areas.  It is estimated to have caused 17-22 billion dollars of destruction.  MMS would like to help those in need.  Next week Monday-Friday, October 1st through the 5th the Student Council will be holding a PENNY WAR to raise funds to help the victims of Hurricane Florence.  Each team will be competing against each other in the Penny War.  Check out the posters explaining how a Penny War works.  CARES teachers also have information explaining the competitions.  Large water jugs will be available for each team and the staff.  They will be in each pod in the morning before school and in the cafeteria during the lunch periods.  Let’s fill them up to help those affected by the hurricane!

Smart Girls Rock:  Girls!  Remember to turn in your “Smart Girls Rock” permission forms to Ms. Yonash in room 714 or to your CARES teacher by Wednesday, October 3rd.
