Congratulations Student Body:  So far you have raised $540 to help fight childhood leukemia.

There is one more chance to raise a little more and help us reach the goal of $800.

It is time to duct tape some staff members to the wall.  Those lucky people are:  Mrs. Zuber-Seguin, Mr. Haas, Mr. Haas, Mr. Daniel, Mrs. Hastings, and Mr. Mountin.

How do you help?  Today and tomorrow during lunch you can purchase for just $1 a ticket for a length of duct tape.  You will then use your tickets at Monday’s assembly to get your pieces of duct tape and help tape any of the teachers to the wall.

Join in the fun and help in the fight against childhood leukemia.

Drawing for the raffle baskets will also be held at Monday’s assembly.

8th Grade ACP Meeting:  Last Monday’s ACP/High School Registration meeting was cancelled due to the Snow Day.    This is an important meeting for all 8th graders and their parents.  It has been rescheduled for next Monday, January 29th here at MMS from 6:30 – 7:30 pm in the cafeteria.  All 8th graders should attend before high school registration begins in 2weeks!

Battle of the Books:  We will meet tomorrow during CARES.  We have much to accomplish.  A friendly mini-battle, voting and info on future dates.  See you Friday!

Menomonie Public Library:  The Menomonie Public Library is hosting an event for the musical nerds out there how live to make Hamilton references, who Defy Gravity, who wants to be friends with Evan Hansen and who are the true Broadway stars…when singing in the shower.  Come to the Broadway Fan Club Event and test your musical knowledge with Name That Tune and Don’t Forget the Lyrics style games.  Plus, a debate deciding which musical and which songs are the best.  Come to the Menomonie Public Library on Saturday, January 27th at 4pm.

Supply Drive:  FCCLA is hosting a supply drive for the Dunn County Humane Society.  The DCHS is our local animal shelter and serves our community; they take care of animals in our community that can’t take care of themselves.  They need our help!  This week, bring in supplies to donate to your CARES class.  Looking for what to donate?  Check out the signs posted around the school or visit dunncountyhumanesociety.org and check out their wish list.  We will be taking donations from January 17th until January 26th (note extended date)!  The CARES class with the most donations will receive a prize!  Thanks for your help!
