Parent/Guardian Alliance Group:  The MMS Parent/Guardian Alliance is a group of parents/guardians and teachers who actively foster a spirit of cooperation and a sense of support, pride and enthusiasm for education. Nurturing a sense of community and engagement for families is our ambition.

Science Olympiad:  The Menomonie Middle School Science Olympiad team has finished second at the state tournament 3 years in a row.  We need your hard-work and love of science to help take us to number one this year!  If you are interested in joining the country’s most popular STEM competition, pick up an informational letter from the bin in front of Mr. Evans’ room in the white pod.  Event rule sheets are in the same bin.  Our first meeting and practice will be next Thursday, November 2^nd, in Mr. Evans’ room, room 818.

Halloween Party:  Free at the Public Library Friday, October 27^th, 7 – 9 am, come decorate pumpkins and watch a movie.  All are welcome.

Ice Packs:  All ice packs should be returned to the health office the same day they are issued.  Several ice packs have not been returned.  Please be responsible and return all ice packs to the health office.

Multicultural Club:  Turn in your butter braid orders and money to Senora Lemanski, Mrs. Bade or Mrs. Horner by Friday, October 27^th.  Monday, October 30^th, there will be a meeting during CARES in Senora Lemanski’s room.  Final turn in day for butter braid orders.

Boys Basketball:  Attention 7^th & 8^th grade boys basketball.  We will begin regular practice on Monday, October 30.  Be sure to have your practice clothes and shoes on Monday.

Girls Swim:  There will be a meeting for all girls interested in swim on Monday, October 30^th at 3:15 pm in the commons.  Please have parents pick you up by 4:00 pm on Monday.  Swim will begin in the pool on Tuesday, October 31^st, from 3:15 – 4:15 pm.  Please have all paperwork turned into the office prior to Monday.

Responsibility:  The word of the week is responsibility.  Be a good role model with your thoughts and actions:  be on time, be prepared, be honest and trustworthy.
