Cross Country:  Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country teams on a great race last night.  The boys placed 5^th, again missing 4^th by 4 points.  The girls ran away for the win again, placing first overall.  The girls won by placing 12 girls in the top 25, including another lifetime PR by Ali Rue.  On the boys side, lifetime personal bests were run by Kevin Leach, Joey Leipnitz, Grayson Obenberger, and again, by Waylon Rogers, who has improved in his time every race. 

Attention all cross country runners:  This is a reminder that tonight is our optional gutbuster run around Lake Menomin, approximately 8.5 miles.  If you do not wish to run, you are excused from practice.

Empathy:  The word of the week is “empathy.”  Be sensitive to other people’s feelings.  Put yourself in the position of others.

Box Tops & Milk Caps:  Keep bringing in your Kwik Trip milk caps/labels and Box Tops for our school.  Your continued support helps the life skills class and our school for a win win!  Please bring and drop off in the collection container in the office!

Connecting Cultures through Cuisine:  Do you want to try foods from all over the world?  If so, come to Connecting Cultures through Cuisine on October 21^st from 5 – 8 pm at Menomonie High School.  There will be an international meal, music and fun.  The price is only $5 per person.  All ages are welcome.  Buy tickets today from Kevin Leach or at the Menomonie Chamber of Commerce.  No tickets available at the door.  Feel free to visit our twitter page @cctc_2017.

Rock-tober is also SOCK-tober:  Join FCCLS in our efforts to collect needed items for the C-s Center and Stepping Stones homeless shelter.  Imagine living through our harsh Wisconsin winter without basic necessities like socks and a warm jacket!  From October 5^th – 25^th FCCLA will be collecting NEW socks and new/slightly used winter gear like coats, hats and mittens.  Our community has great needs, but you can enter yourself into a raffle drawing for one of some awesome prizes!  Each article donates like a package of new socks, coats, hats, mittens, will be given a chance to enter the drawing.  Winners will be announced at the end of SOCK-tober!  All donations to the FACS room please!
