**Attention students who received a yellow congratulations slip from Ms. Yonash or your CARES teacher:  Please come down to the Teacher’s Lounge (in the cafeteria) right after announcements.

Bel Canto Singers:  Be sure you sign by your name to accept your spot.  Our next rehearsal is next week Wednesday, February 8^th, from 3:00 – 3:30 pm.

MathCounts:   Congratulations to the students that represented Menomonie at the regional MathCounts competition on Thursday in Eau Claire!  The competition was fierce, but Summit Fox-Schultz finished 6^th and Morgan Selchow finished 1^st.  The team of Summit, Morgan, Carben Weghorn, and Patrick Schwartz placed 1^st out of 16 schools.  Congratulations on a great season.  The end of the season party will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 15^th after school until 3:45 pm in the cafeteria.  Please bring$3 and to rsvp for the end of the season pizza party to Mrs. Dombrowski, Mrs. Forster, or Mrs. Tavares!

Girls Basketball:  Congratulation to the girls 7^th grade basketball teams!  Chumas’s and Topper’s teams both beat Altoona last night in thrilling basketball performances!  Special congrats to Tareka Jones who hit 3 free throws in the last 2 minutes to secure the victory!  Excellent sportsmanship and effort was displayed by all.  Way to go girls!

MS Swim:  Attention all swimmers who ordered apparel.  Orders are in.  You may come to pick them up after announcements (if your CARES teacher will allow you).  You need to see Coach Kellander to pick them up, if she is not in her room, please wait until she’s there.
