MRS. KEILA DROUT HIRED AS PRINCIPAL AT OAKLAWN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, Mrs. Keila Drout’s transfer request to become the next principal at Oaklawn Elementary School was approved. Mrs. Drout will begin her new position in the School District of the Menomonie Area on July 1, 2023.

Keila Drout’s educational career includes ten years of teaching at multiple elementary and

middle school grade levels in Milwaukee, Fort Atkinson, Downsville, and Menomonie. Prior

to spending the past three years as the principal at Downsville Elementary School, Mrs. Drout served twelve years as the principal at St. Joseph’s School in Menomonie.

Mrs. Drout earned her bachelor’s degree (Education Social Sciences) from Marquette University in 1994, and her master’s degree in education (2004) and principal’s licensure (2012) from Viterbo University.

Keila Drout is married and has three children with one attending school at the University of Nebraska and two attending Menomonie High School.

Mrs. Drout will be replacing Mrs. Lori Smith, who is retiring at the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
