Today is Stomp Out Bullying Day – we hope you wore your orange today!  Here are a couple of quotes to think about:

“You have brains in your head.  You have feet in your shoes.  You can steer yourself any direction you choose.  You’re on your own.  And you know what you know.  And you are the one who’ll decide where to go.” – Dr. Suess

“Pulling someone down will never help you reach the top.”

Words are powerful.  Use them wisely.

Reminder:  There is no school tomorrow or Friday, October 20 & 21.

Student Council will be sponsoring a dance next Thursday, October 27th, from 3:00 – 6:00 pm.  The cost of admission is $4.00.  Check out the posters for more information.  Come and dance and check out the other activities at the School Dance next Thursday, October 27th.

The Yearbook Club is ready to begin!  Wednesday, October 26th, the first meeting of the year will take place in Mrs. Creviston’s room next to the computer lab.  We will meet each other and take a look at options for the cover of this year’s book.  If you plan to attend, see Mrs. Creviston in room 418 by the end of second lunch on Tuesday, Oct. 25th to sign up.  Mrs. Creviston and Mrs. Schemenauer hope to see you next week!

The Public Library is hosting the Teen Spooktacular this Thursday, October 20th, from 1:30 – 5:00 pm.  All are welcome.  There will be pumpkin decorating, snacks and Halloween movie.  Costumes are optional.

Congrats to a highly successful 7th grade volleyball season!  Don’t forget to turn in your money to Coach Harrison or Coach Wamboldt by Wednesday morning.  We will be celebrating our success and closing out our season with the ice cream party this Wednesday (10/19) after school in the silver pod.  See you there!
