The MMS Science Olympiad teams participated in the Wisconsin State Science Olympiad Tournament this past weekend at WU-Stout.  The students worked very hard preparing for this tournament and it certainly showed!  The kids brought home the 2nd Place Trophy and numerous individual medals.  Our MMS kids finished only 9 points behind state champions – Hamilton Middle School (Madison).

The trophy will be on display in the office today!  The coaches are very proud of all of you!  Congratulations on your success throughout the season!

 

Congrats to all music students who performed at solo and ensemble on Saturday!  Great job!

Attention 7th and 8th graders interested in a wood working club.  Mr. Phillips will be having the first wood working club meeting Tuesday, April 5th after school in room 344.  This will be a short meeting starting at 3:05 pm and finishing by 3:30 pm.

The 7 Gold Team is our Trex Challenge winner for March.  All teams are now chasing 7 Gold, but they can be caught.  Keep collecting clean and dry plastic bags.

Stage Crew starts tonight, April 4th.  Meet in the Art room from 3:00 – 4:00 pm.  See Mrs. Brenner if you have questions.

Art Club meets Thursday, April 7th, from 3 – 4:00 pm.

Youth Representing Youth is hosting four Wednesday afternoon sessions for girls in grades 6-8 at MMS.  These sessions use fun activities that focus on getting young teen girls to feel more confident.  Dates are April 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th from 3 – 4 pm.  Admission is free and snacks will be provided.  You can sign up with Mrs. Horner.

Jr. Optimists and Core Value Reps.  Be sure to get your permission form turned in to the front office by Friday, April 8th for the Hoffman Hills tree planting field trip.  Please note:  The date of the field trip has been changed to Friday, April 15th.
