SAM Bags:  Hey hungry teenagers!  Are you getting enough to eat?  We have a wonderful organization in town that provides free food for you to take home for the weekend.  All you have to do is sign up for a SAM bag in the office.  Easy!  See anyone in the front office for a form.

8^th Grade Band Recording:  The 8^th grade band will be recording a piece for a Veteran’s Day celebration during 8^th hour and homeroom today in the cafeteria.  If you need to move through the cafeteria during 8^th hour or homeroom today, please do so quietly so that there is no extra noise in the recordings.

Core Value Poster Contest:  Our annual core value poster contest is under way!  Use your creative talents to display our 6 core values of respect, responsibility, safety, pride, empathy and enthusiasm on a regular 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper.  Entries can be turned in to the front office until the end of the day next Wednesday, November 4^th.  We look forward to seeing your awesome designs!

Boys Basketball:  Will be starting this week.  8^th grade boys will start today.  7^th grade boys will start on Thursday, October 29^th.  Practice for 7^th & 8^th grade boys basketball will go from 3:15 – 4:45.  All boys will need a water bottle, mask and athletic clothing and shoes for practice. 

7^th grade will practice every Tuesday and Thursday. 

8^th grade will practice every Monday and Wednesday.

Yearbook:  It’s your last chance to order your 2021 yearbook online at jostens.com/yearbook for the lowest price of the season at $19.  The price for yearbooks increases after October 30^th, so make sure to get your order in by Friday!

Halloween Costumes:  Will be allowed on Friday, October 30^th.

All School Rules still apply

• No blood
• No weapons
• No masks that cover your whole face
• Regular nose/mouth masks are still required
• You CAN wear hats if it is a legitimate part of your costume
• SDMA mitigation measures must be followed

If any part of your costume is a distraction, your teacher can take it away as needed.

YEP:  YEP will be having a Halloween party on Friday, October 30^th at 4:30pm via Zoom.  Join us for trivia games and lots of Halloween fun!  You must be a member of YEP to attend.  If interested in joining YEP, stop in the office for sign up information.

Girls Swim:  7^th & 8^th grade Girls Swim will have an informational meeting on today after school from 3:15 – 3:45 in the cafeteria.
