New School Hours:  Please remember, school is starting 5 minutes earlier and ending 5 minutes later.  Our new start time is 7:38 am and end time is 3:00 pm.

 

PE Students:  We will not be going outside this week – TOO COLD!  Stay tuned.

 

FCA:  We will meet tomorrow morning at 6:50 am in Gym C.  Everyone is welcome.  See Mr. Stokke or Mrs. Hastings with questions.

 

Girls Basketball:  7th Grade girls basketball players should be ready to go to our game at Northstar tonight after school by 3:05 pm.  You need to be wearing your middle school athletic shirt and shorts.  You should have a water bottle or something to drink.  Be sure you check in with Coach Kyles before getting on the bus.

 

Wrestling:  Reminder that we have a wrestling meet at Chippewa Falls Middle School at 4:30 pm.

 

Kids Ice Camp! Ice Fishing for Kids:  Learn:  Ice Safety, Electronics, Jigging Techniques, Bait Types and Usage, Environmental Stewardship.

Say Something Week:  If you see something, say something.  We will be participating in Say Something Week.  Students are encouraged to wear green on Friday.  There will be a prize for the CARES with the highest percent of participation. 

 

The following are general key point for talking to students about school violence and student suicide:

 

1.Schools are safe places. All schools work to prevent school violence and schools are very safe places.

 

2. School Violence and Student Suicide is preventable. By listening, talking, and acting you could save a life.

  • Emphasize the role that students have in maintaining safe schools by following school safety guidelines.
  • Such as: not providing building access to strangers, reporting strangers on campus, reporting threats to the school safety made by students or community members



3. Say Something  

  • Encourage students to report important information, either directly or anonymously, by telling a trusted adult what they know or hear.
  • Crisis Tipline
    • All SDMA students have access to free 24/7 support, which can include topics like bullying, suicide, and other safety threat concerns.
    • Able to submit anonymous tips through text, email, of phone.
