High School Preview Night/Rescheduled:  Attention 8th graders!  The high school staff will hold MHS Mustang Preview Night on Monday, February 4th from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.  At 5:30, parents and students will be welcomed by middle and high school principals in the auditorium.  After a brief overview of scheduling at the high school, parents and students will be released to the commons where they are encouraged to meet with teachers from each department and learn about what courses Menomonie High School has to offer.

Robotics Club:  Are you interested in designing, building and coding a lego robot?  If so, then the Blugold Beginnings Robotics Club at MMS is right for you!  Robotics Club is currently accepting applications for our spring tern.  We will meet Monday – Thursday from 3 – 4:45 pm.  Space is limited, so pick up an application from Mrs. Brown in STEM today!

Black History Month:  Never be limited by other people’s limited imaginations.  Dr. Mae Jemison was the first African-American woman in space.  Before applying to NASA, she learned to speak Russian, Swahili and Japanese.  She became a doctor and volunteered in Cambodia and Sierra Leone.  She was an astronaut and doctor conducting experiments about weightlessness and motion sickness.  After returning to Earth, she founded a company that uses satellites to improve the health in Africa.

Pride:  Believe in yourself.  Never give up.  Work together as a team toward success.  Be your best.
