Script for Screens Film Making:  Attention all students participating in Script for Screen Film making event:  Following announcements please report to room 728(the 7 silver science room) immediately after announcements for our film production seminar.

 

One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Gold Fish…Stop in the library this week and try to guess how many goldfish are in the bowl.  The winner will be announced Friday during Brain Break and will receive their choice of a new book or poster!  One try per person, per day.  Happy “fishing!”

 

Multi-cultural Club:  There will be a short meeting during CARES on Thursday.  We will plan our international meal and cooking session.  All members must attend in Mrs. Lemanski’s room.  Please remember:  The meal will be Wednesday, March 7th.

Celebrate Black History Month:  Born in Barbados in 1958, Joseph Saddler, aka Grandmaster Flash, was raised in the Bronx, New York.  He started DJing as a teen and earned the nickname “Flash” for his quick hands.  In the early 1980s his band, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, released several groundbreaking rap records which included songs such as “The Message.”  In 2007, they became the first rap group inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Spring Volleyball:  Attention 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls interested in playing spring league volleyball.  There are flyers in the office.  Please pick them up ASAP!  Required parent meeting is schedule for this Thursday evening. 

Spring Play Auditions:  Singin’ in the rain auditions are next week Monday or Tuesday from 3 to 5 pm in the choir room.  Register online on the MMS Drama website.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Enyeart.
