Math Counts:  We will have a mandatory practice this Wednesday, Dec. 6.  Our first competition is fast approaching on Dec. 13, and this will be our last meeting date before the competition.  We will be going over all of the details about the competition, and you will get your competition teams.  Anyone who plans on competing in the first competition must attend this week’s practice. 

Science Olympiad:   The Menomonie Middle School Science Olympiad Team competed against the top teams from Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and Wisconsin on Saturday. Our two teams finished 8th and 13th overall and 3rd and 6th among Wisconsin team. David Ding and Marlena Weghorn's plane took the gold medal in the Wright Stuff event. Ellen Dingwall and Shannon Mason finished 4th overall in Disease Detectives. Isabella Kaufman, Teagan Christenson, and Allison Falkner finished 5th overall in Experimental Design. Peter Bendel and David Ding finished 5th overall in Road Scholar. In the Write It/Do It event Autumn Larrabee and Dylan Foslid finished 2nd and Allison Falkner and Marlena Weghorn finished 4th overall. Logan McCoy and Michael King finished 5th overall in Solar System. Many others were very close to medaling and it marked a great start to the season. There will be no Science Olympiad practice this Monday and Tuesday with practice starting again on Thursday. Graded tests are available in front of Mr. Evans' room.

African-American Leaders of WI:  We will be meeting Tuesday, from 3 – 4 pm in room 825.  Please see Emanuelle or Mr. Collins if you have any questions.

Yearbook:  We will have our first yearbook meeting tomorrow morning (Tuesday) for anyone interested.  We will be meeting during CARES in the library.  Please come and check us out!

Mr. Stokke’s PE Classes:  Bring your chromebooks to phy ed class today for fitness testing.

Vex Robotics:  Mr. Phillips will be having the first VEX Robotics Club meetings on Monday, December 4th at 3:00 pm in room 344.  The VEX Robotics Club is for students that are interested in mechanical devices, programming and problem solving.  If you are interested and cannot make this meeting, please contact Mr. Phillips.
