Halloween Dress Up:  Students will be allowed to wear costumes to school on Tuesday, October 31st, for Halloween.  Student Council submitted a proposal and it has been approved.  Rules are as follows:  NO MASKS, NO BLOOD, NO WEAPONS.  Students MAY wear hats on Tuesday.  Costumes may not interfere with learning or class lessons.

Math Counts:  Our kick off meeting for Mach Counts will be this Wednesday, Nov. 1st, from 3 – 3:45 pm in the library.  Please bring your chromebooks.  If you cannot attend this first meeting but want to join Math Counts, please see Mrs. Tavares in the blue pod or Ms. Dombrowski in the silver pod before Wednesday’s meeting.

Gaming Club:  We will meet this Wednesday, Nov. 1st, in the business lab.  Permission forms can be found in the hallways between the pods.  Gaming Club meets the 1st Wednesday of each month.

Multicultural Club:  There will be a mandatory meeting during CARES this morning in Senora Lemanski’s room.  Final tur in in day for the butter braid orders and money is today!

Parent/Guardian Alliance Group:  The MMS Parent/Guardian Alliance is a group of parents/guardians and teachers who actively foster a spirit of cooperation and a sense of support, pride and enthusiasm for education. Nurturing a sense of community and engagement for families is our ambition.

Science Olympiad:  The Menomonie Middle School Science Olympiad team has finished second at the state tournament 3 years in a row.  We need your hard-work and love of science to help take us to number one this year!  If you are interested in joining the country’s most popular STEM competition, pick up an informational letter from the bin in front of Mr. Evans’ room in the white pod.  Event rule sheets are in the same bin.  Our first meeting and practice will be next Thursday, November 2nd, in Mr. Evans’ room, room 818.
