FCCLA:  Don’t forget it’s FCCLA week this week!  Wednesday is Mustang Pride; Thursday is Jersey Day and Friday is a Red Out Day to support your FCCLA state participants!  Also, we will be hosting a “Pie a Teacher” at lunch.  Stop by the table today – Wednesday to see what it’s all about.

Yearbook:  Today is the last day to turn in Yearbook order forms to Mrs. Creviston or the office.  If you’re planning on ordering at Jostens.com, you have until 2:00 pm tomorrow afternoon.  Than you to everyone who has ordered a yearbook; they’ll arrive at the end of May.

Spring Play:  Today is your last chance to audition for the Spring Play, Sherlock Homs and the Hound of the Baskervilles.  Auditions are today from 3 to 4:30 pm in the choir room.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Enyeart.

SAGA:  Sexuality and Gender Alliance is a new student organization.  We meet to support each other, be social and have fun.  SAGA meets every other Wednesday for second lunch in room 825, Maroon Pod.  Our next meeting is Wednesday, March 1 at 12:20 pm.  All are welcome – straight, gay, supportive, friends.

Writing Club:  Writing Club is back in action.  All are welcome whether it is your first time or have not been since September.  We meet every Thursday from 3 – 4 pm in room 825, Maroon pod.  Students write, collaborate and share creative stories and poems.

2017 Optimist International World Oratorical Contest Information:  Here is some critical information regarding the upcoming Dunn Country Optimist Oratorical Contest: 

• All entries must be complete and sent to Diane Simon via email at [email protected] on or before April 7, 2017.
• Along with the application, we must receive a copy of the speech, a copy of the contestant’s birth certificate as well as the application.
• The Club Oratorical Contest will be held on April 12 at 5:30 pm.The site is to be determined pending number of entries.
• The winners (one boy and one girl) will be sent to the Zone competition to determine those to be sent to the district contest.
• The District Contest will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Oshkosh, WI at the 3^rd Quarter Conference.Information will be given to the Zone winners regarding motel information and District competition start time.
• The District Winners will receive a $2,500 scholarship!
• One contestant will be selected to be WINUM’s entry in the World Oratorical Contest on June 15 & 16, 2017 in St. Louis for the opportunity to win an additional scholarship valued between $10,000 and $20,000.

Remember, applications need to be emailed along with a copy of applicant’s birth certificate and a copy of the speech to Diane Simon at [email protected] on or before April 7, 2017.
